Privacy, in plain English.
We're Des & Mackenzie, two people who would much rather be behind a camera than writing legal documents. So here's exactly what happens to your information, the same way we'd explain it over coffee.
Mostly what you send us
Your names, your email and the details of your day, plus basic stats about website visits.
We never sell it
Your information is used to plan your session and run our business. It is never sold.
Google helps us measure
We use Google Analytics and Google Ads to see which pages and ads actually help couples find us.
Want it gone? Just ask
Email us and we'll delete it, apart from the few records we have to keep, like signed contracts.

Frame 01
What we collect
What you tell us. When you fill out one of our inquiry forms, we receive what you type in:
- your name, and your partner's name for weddings
- your email address
- the type of session you're interested in and your date
- details about your day or project, like the location, guest count and hours
When you book a call, Calendly collects your name, email and the time you choose. When you book with us, your contract, invoices and payments are handled through Pixieset. Payments are processed by their payment partner, so we never see or store your full card number.
What happens automatically. Like most websites, ours uses cookies and similar tools from Google to understand visits: things like which pages were viewed, the type of device, a general location and how someone found us. This is about patterns, not about watching any one person.

Frame 02
Why we use it
- to reply to your inquiry and plan your session
- to schedule calls, send contracts and invoices, and deliver your gallery
- to keep the records every small business needs
- to learn which pages and ads are actually helping people find us, so we spend less on the ones that don't

Our behind-the-scenes crew
We're a two-person team, so we rely on a few trusted services to run things. They handle your information for us:
PixiesetOur website, inquiry forms, contracts, invoices, payments and your online gallery.
CalendlyScheduling your call with us.
Google WorkspaceOur business email, where we talk with you.
Google Analytics & AdsMeasuring website visits and how well our ads work.
Each of them has its own privacy policy for how they protect what they handle.

The honest bit about ads
Sometimes people find us through a Google ad. To know whether an ad actually helped, Google needs a way to connect “someone clicked our ad” with “someone reached out.”
So when you send us an inquiry, we may share your email address with Google. It's turned into a scrambled, one-way code (called hashing) so Google can match it to its own records. If you later book with us, we may also let Google know that a booking happened and its value.
This helps us see which ads lead to real couples and real weddings, rather than just clicks. Google uses it to measure and improve our ads. Google doesn't get your messages, your photos or the details of your day.
Curious about Google's side of things? Here's how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Your choices
- See, fix or delete your info: email us at book@dmmediautah.com and we'll take care of it. We may need to keep things we're required to, like signed contracts and payment records.
- Turn off personalized Google ads: visit Google's My Ad Center.
- Opt out of Google Analytics: use Google's Analytics opt-out add-on, or block cookies in your browser settings.
- Hear from us less: just tell us and we'll stop.

Frame 06
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it for your session and our business records. Inquiries that don't turn into a booking can be deleted any time you ask.
If anything about how we handle information changes, we'll update this page and the date below.
Questions? Just ask.
No forms and no runaround. Send us an email and one of us will get back to you, the same as any other question.
